Part II
Message: Forgiveness is Truly for You
Greetings Beloved,
Forgiveness truly is for you not for the other. It is a process that you go through with God.
You must forgive to be on the right side of God. And you must forgive before you can worship.
Scripture: Luke 22:34
Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples. One of his brothers assisted others who plotted against him. The plot of the enemy was a set up for Jesus to be hung on the cross.
Notes of the Message on Forgiveness
Note: Who to Trust…
Sometimes people close to you will assist others to plot against you.
While Jesus was up on the cross he could see the people who plotted against him. He could see them standing around watching. He could see the people who beat him, made fun of him, who spat on him, who lied on him, broke his body and ripped his flesh apart.
Note: To Role of the Enemy
The enemy seeks to tear you up, tear you down, break you, and rip you apart before destroying you.
Even though Jesus was in extreme pain and suffering, could see the people who did this too him just standing around watching. He being in his flesh did not forgive them. He instead went to his Father and asked Him to forgive the people.
Note: Forgiveness is Essential to your relationship to God
We cannot forgive in our own strength nor in our flesh, we must go to the Father to ask Him to forgive so that forgiveness may take place in the spirit. When you don’t forgive it will put you on the wrong side of God. When you don’t forgive it puts you in a negative and self-destructive state of being.
